Pokémon Legends Z-A will release on 16th October 2025, Nintendo has announced. Pre-orders will go live on the eShop starting on 5th June, the same day as the Switch 2 console launch.

Alongside the release date announcement, Nintendo also revealed the cover art for the game.

The Pokémon social media account detailed the improvements for Switch 2 by saying:

“In addition to the Nintendo Switch title, a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will offer improved graphics and frame rates. The digital and physical versions of Pokemon Legends Z-A can be upgraded to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition via upgrade pack.”

The next Pokemon Presents has also been announced for 22nd July, although the exact time and content has not been shared.
