Rainbow Road makes its return in Mario Kart World and like always, it’s as chaotic, colorful, and friendship-ending as ever. It’s one of the best Mario Kart tracks I’ve ever played, and I can’t wait for you to see it.

In this version, unlocking the iconic track takes a little effort. Here’s how to get access to the infamous Rainbow Road.

How to Unlock Rainbow Road

To race on Rainbow Road, you’ll need to unlock the Special Cup in Grand Prix Mode.

Here’s what you need to do:

Complete all seven standard cups in Grand Prix mode. Placement doesn’t matter—you just need to finish every race in each cup. You can race on any CC level (50cc, 100cc, etc.).

The Cups You Need to Complete:

Mushroom Cup
Flower Cup
Star Cup
Shell Cup
Banana Cup
Leaf Cup
Lightning Cup

Once all seven cups are completed, the Special Cup becomes available—bringing with it the legendary Rainbow Road.

And that’s it! Rainbow Road is yours to race.
